crear un ambiente con estilo gracias a flores y plantas típicas de esta estación, renueva alguna maceta con plantas
o decora con flores y detalles para crear calidez de otoño al ambiente.

Weekend Steals & Deals
I'm so happy I made it through this week! It's been one of those crazy busy weeks and I need a break! Like many of you, everyday this week was jam packed, but it feels good to have made it to Friday. A relaxed family home in the Australian countryside
The weekend calls for a super relaxed home where you feel you can just kick off your shoes and be completely yourself doesn't it?! So today I'd like to share this laid back, retro family home in the Australian countryside with you. The owners photographer Jessica Tremp and Michael Madden and child Syd only moved in a few months ago but they've already put their personal stamp on the space. Art (mainly by Jessica's father), big leafed plants, yellow accent colours and mid century teak furniture make up the look. There's something that feels incredibly warm about this lovely family home don't you think?

Yesterday I started an evening class in interior design. The aim of the course is to learn how to plan a room from scratch. We spent the evening creating mood boards: ripping pictures out of magazines (interior, fashion and nature) which we felt had the right 'feel' whether they were of a bird, a lamp or a skirt flowing in the wind and sticking them onto an A3 board. The result amazed me. The colours and feel of the room bounced from the board and I could really see the embryo of my new room. So exciting! I can definitely recommend this process to you if you're planning on re-decorating a room in your home. More tips from next week's session....

Ideas para estantes de platos vintage /Ideas for shelves vintage dishes

Snakeskin Kleenex Box from Duct Tape
I'm busting out the duct tape again and turning an ordinary wooden kleenex box into something fancy! I originally purchased this duct tape (Duck Tape brand) at Target forever ago and turned a shoebox lid into a cool tray. But, for this project, I ran out mid-way through and then couldn't find it anywhere. I looked at two Targets, a Michael's, and two Hobby Lobby's. I eventually had to order more from Amazon
. 
As you would imagine, creating this faux snakeskin kleenex box was as simple as wrapping the tape around the box (I started with the top, then the sides). The pattern on the tape is forgiving, but you can try to line the pieces up. I painted the very bottom black with craft paint so that I could use just three strips of tape along the sides and so the bottom wasn't taped close- you have to slide it open to insert the kleenex box. For the hole in the top, I made a straight cut in the tape, then folded the tape underneath the lid part.
I think I must be getting allergies as I get older, because it seems I'm reaching for a kleenex several times a day. I keep boxes everywhere. It's nice to have a stylish box on my bedside table. Especially next to that Homegoods lamp! Score!
