Black, white with a touch of yellow Swedish home

Hello and happy Friday! I wanted to share this fascinating home with you. I like lots of things about this space. The pops of yellow that break up the black and white, all the different textures used on the walls. And the eclectic mix of furniture ranging from modern IKEA and industrial style to and mid-century. Very lovely.

I love the gallery of Therese Sennerholt prints in the third picture. My husband gave me the 'sweet dreams are made of you' Therese Sennerholt print for Christmas last year and it has prime place on my gallery wall. I love it! Latté time  :)

It Is The Little Things

Comfort is often found in the little things. This picture holds 4 things currently making me happy: a space heater, the unfinished walls that give the office an industrial/rustic feel, putting on slippers during the day, new boots*.

*I have been on a boot hunt for months, I have looked at/ordered more pairs than one person should. On my wish list was a pair of boots I could wear under jeans- not tall in length but tall in heel height while still being comfortable. And do you know where I found my favorites? Ol' Target. They are comfortable and since I was prepared to pay wayyyyyy more I can continue my hunt for more shoes (currently looking for tall gray dress boots). Boots here.

Giveaway Winner & Thank You

The lucky winner (thanks to random.org) is #31.... ADK4378. Congratulations! E-mail me your address @ mstronginteriors@aol.com.
Also thank you so much for all the calls, texts, comments and e-mails about Henry's first day at daycare today. I arrived feeling fine but then as soon as I got through the doors the waterworks started. I may or may not have had to borrow Kleenex from another baby since I forgot to pack Henry's Kleenex box (oops, tomorrow I will be on top of it). I am feeling much better now though. Today is busy, busy so that should help. I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Thursday DIY: Twinkle twinkle big star!

I was so impressed with the lovely Christmas star Anna Malin, at Helt Enkel Hos Mig made that I had to share it with you. It would make a perfect Thursday DIY Christmas decoration project don't you think? You'll need sticks, string, scissors and some pretty fairy lights. Oh, and some careful crafting of course. For more directions and to see the rest of her beautiful blog pop here

Holiday Vignette

Hi all!  How is your week going?  I can't believe we are in December already!  Today is all about holiday vignettes and I'm linking up at Courtney (A Thoughtful Place) blog today.  Come join in HERE:)

A little holiday vignette I put together this year was really simple, with some silver and gold wrapped presents, some faux flowers in a silver Target vase and a little greenery I ordered online to add some freshness.  And that cute green trellis pillow is from Milk & Cookies.

And last year I decorated our butler's pantry with aqua, red, white and silver.

First I filled the glass vases (from Target and Home Goods) with faux snow and ornaments.  Then I wrapped “presents” and made a few bows.

I couldn't believe that I did all of the decorating and snapped most of the photos while James napped!

I love this “naughty” and “nice” gift wrap I found at Wal-Mart last year.   The other wrap is from Hobby Lobby and The Container Store.

Interesting eclectic Stockholm apartment

Go'dag! There are so many interesting pieces in this Stockholm apartment! I love the vintage industrial lamps, the armchair and the modular sofa. And also the interesting use of wallpapers and colour schemes. Very personal and original, just like a home should be.

I think there's something very cool about children's rooms that seamlessly fit the theme of the rest of the house. What do you think? Are you more of a classic kids room type or would this work for you? Time to wake up with my morning latté now but back in a little with more inspiration!
