 Pero cuando amanece en la playa larga y solitaria, cuando el sol comienza a acariciar  las dunas y las olas,

 cuando las gaviotas y los peces saludan jubilosos el despertar de la mañana, entonces el mar, mi mar,

     me habla de emociones contenidas mientras mis pasos presurosos  interrumpen el cristal claro de las aguas en las orillas de la playa.

Eclectic boho London flat with a touch of rock n roll

I thought I'd shake up the blog a bit with this eclectic boho London flat  Very rock n' roll! There are bohemian elements I totally love such as the netted room divider, the peacock chairs and shabby white floors with painted black diamonds - and other areas where um, I'm not quite so sure, such as the netting around the sink. But one's thing for sure, it's fun, quirky, very personal and perfect for a Friday night!

TOILE DE JOUY

Toile de Jouy. Un característico estampado que nació en Francia en 1760 de Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, un industrial textil francés. En su origen se trataba de una tela de algodón decorada con planchas de cobre grabadas. Hoy, el nombre hace referencia a la clase de estampado, que se aplica a soportes diversos: tejidos varios, papeles pintados, muebles... .. sigue siendo imprescindible tanto en su linea más clásica como en versiones más actualizadas

End of the Bed Bench

For forever, I've had my eye on the Colette bench from Crate & Barrel for the foot of our bed.  I love the sleek design, linen fabric, and nailhead trim, and the dimensions were perfect. 

But I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it- $599 plus tax and shipping charges.  

So, I kept looking for less expensive alternatives.  I found some below and of course, pinned them to my Pinterest board.  

I finally chose a bench after seeing a reasonably priced one on Overstock, at just $250 including shipping!  It's the Renate Coffee Table Ottoman




It got good reviews for the fabric and I think the dimensions are right (18 inches high x 28 inches wide x 48 inches deep) since I didn't want one that was too short for our king-sized bed.  I'm thinking of painting the legs, but we'll see after it arrives, which should be Monday! I love fast shipping!
