December Inspiration

 Now that it is December I am ready for a little holiday inspiration....

 I know I posted this image last year but it is still one of my favorite images.

 I had to include this, it makes me smile for so many reasons.

 After Fridays post you have me thinking maybe I need a Pop Phone.  All this phone talk at Christmas brings me back to one of my most treasured gifts from childhood...

Fact- this phone is still at the top of my closet.  While I am far from a hoarder, I just can't part ways with this blast from the past.  Any favorite gifts from the past you just can't let go of?

Christmas Cheer Holiday Link Party Start Tomorrow!

This weekend I was knee deep in spray paint and craft projects in honor of our upcoming 2nd Annual Christmas Cheer Holiday Link Party!  I had hoped to have completed at least one of my projects to show you today, but neither project is ready yet.

And, yes, we really are in tank tops and flip flops here in Houston.  It was 85 degrees on Sunday! Are you getting to wear your cozy sweaters and boots? So jealous!

The party starts tomorrow at Cassie's blog (Hi Sugarplum) with Christmas crafts.  On Thursday, Michelle (Ten June) will be hosting the mantle party.  See you there!

My home: Christmas tree

I hope you had a lovely weekend! Here in Sweden we were in for a treat - SNOW! According to tradition my little family and I went out to a sustainable forest and chopped down our own tree which we celebrated with glögg and hot chocolate (it was minus 5 after all BRRRRR!). Here are a few pictures of our shiny new Christmas tree!

Decorando la casa para Navidad / Decorating the house for Christmas

Ya estamos a Diciembre,  momento de empezar a decorar la casa de ambiente navideño, estoy pensando en el color que predominará en mi casa este año, dorado, rústico, innovador blanco y negro.

 Como decoráis vuestra casa ?  en el tradicional rojo y verde?

La combinación más sofisticada de blanco y plata?

            

El color morado es tu color?

  Y azul y plata?

Diy Decoración de papel / DIY Papel Holiday Decorations

El papel es una alternativa sencilla y económica para hacer guirnaldas y adornos navideños . Estas son dos ideas fáciles y decorativas  con un resultado espectacular!!

Materiales

• Cartulina
• Tijeras
• Pegamento
• Alambre


1- Trazar y cortar las hojas en tres diferentes tamaños y formas utilizando la plantilla de  roble y la de haya


2. Corta las hojas  en  cartulina  blanca y en papel de periódico, y luego pegar cada hoja a un alambre.  El papel de periódico le dará profundidad visual.


3. Para la estructura, utilizar un alambre principal al que iremos uniendo cada alambre de las hojas y simplemente dar la forma.

Materiales

• Cartulina

• Tijeras

• Cutter

• Sujetadores de papel pequeños

• Pegamento

•Alambre

• Cadena de cuentas de madera

• Luces de Navidad

• Vasitos pequeños

Instrucciones

1. Con la plantilla en forma de flor de pascua, cortar las flores en tres tonos de cartulina. 

2. Une tres piezas de la plantilla  con un sujetador de papel en el centro. Pegue cada flor en un pedazo corto de alambre , a continuación, adjuntar a cada uno a la cadena de cuentas de madera.

3. Tejer una cadena de luces a través de la guirnalda, perforando a través de cada vasito para aumentar  el brillo y añadir un extra  de luz.
