Today we continued our search for a church home and this was part of the sermon. So simple but so powerful, we must be here for each other, not just ourselves.

Chained To The Laundry Room

Okay, first of all, who out there does not love a good painted floor? I know I can't get enough of them. So naturally I loved this floor I saw on Birds of a Feather. The floor got even better when I read the pattern was picked as a tongue-in-cheek design to convey her feelings on constantly being in the laundry room. You know how I love humor in design. I highly suggest going over to check out this great before and after.

Have a great weekend! I hope it is not spent in the laundry room (unless it looks like this then that wouldn't be so bad).

Sneak Peek

What a week...do I say that every week? I swear, there just aren't enough hours. This is how the week began...The installation of new curtains in a client's master, always a good feeling. I love the way this room is looking. We are not finished yet (see fan) but I thought I would give you a little preview...

james & the giraffe

Before I was even pregnant with James, Jimmy and I bought him his first toy- an adorable big-legged giraffe from the MGM gift shop in Las Vegas.  I thought it was so cute and would be good to have something “baby” in the house pre-baby.

I started photographing James with the giraffe when he was 2 months old, but missed months 3 and 8 (oops!)  It’s so funny to see the progression of him just sitting like a lump next to the giraffe at first and then take more interest in it.  The giraffe started out much larger than James, but he quickly caught up!   James’ shoulders didn’t even come up to the armrest of the chair at first, and nine months later, he’s got his arm slung casually over it!

At month 5 and 6, James was tackling the giraffe, then at month 7, he wanted to crawl out of the chair.  By month 9, I could barely get him to sit still and at month 11, he was only interested in his book!  The last picture I took, he was slinging the giraffe all around and almost fell out of the chair because he was climbing all over!

Coffee Table For Sale- One Time Price

A client of mine just received this coffee table but it is not going to work. It is a brand new Ricardo World's Away table made of a limed oak veneer with a mirror top and decorative studs. It is a really good looking and unique coffee table. If I had room I would keep it in a heartbeat. Size: 48"L x 20"H x 24"D.Usually this retails for $1,150 but since we are trying to move this table it is being sold for $550. It is in perfect condition, no marks or blemishes. You can see more here. Unless buyer is willing to set up shipping we prefer a buyer who can pick up from Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN.
