Heading to Haven Blog Conference 2013

I'm thrilled to be heading to Atlanta this August to speak on a panel with some of my best girlfriends at Haven.  I had planned to go last year, but had a scheduling conflict.

As you know, I have a special place in my heart for home bloggers and home blog readers.  Are you going?  Please let me know- I want to meet you! :)



We did a Houston meet up awhile back and it was so fun . . .

And I went to Blissdom and got to meet some friends whose blogs I'd been reading for years. 

Connecting online is cool, but nothing beats interacting in person.  :)

Angles from a former culture centre

There are two key things I'm drawing inspiration from in this lovely 18th century former culture centre in Stockholm. First, the way the books are piled high and used to add colour in the sitting room. And secondly the rustic workman's bench at the end of the bed. Of course the rest of the space is pretty nice too :)

I've actually just ordered two workmen's stools from this fab online vintage shop and patiently (read: anxiously awaiting) their arrival, I can't wait! Perhaps the next item on my list will be a workmen's bench for the end of the bed.

Diy rayas chevron / Diy chevron stripes

¿Os gustan las rayas en zig zag estilo chevron?

 Últimamente estoy viendo muchas ideas que me gustan, se pueden ver desde alfombras a paredes, 

seguro que pronto pruebo alguna de ellas, mi lista de proyectos cada vez es mayor, solo necesito 

encontrar algo de tiempo !! 

No quiero perder la oportunidad de compartir  estos fantásticos tutoriales,

estoy segura que podréis encontrar algunas ideas para probar en vuestra casa !

Si quieres darle una nueva vida a una alfombra lisa de sisal no dejes de  ver el video tutorial de ellinee, es realmente sencillo y además se puede descargar la plantilla.

Rustic / industrial Danish restaurant Höst

It's my husband's birthday next week so I've been doing some planning. Since he loves eating out, at least part of his present should be visiting a new restaurant. And with Copenhagen just over the Öresund bridge how could the the rustic / industrial Scandinavian restaurant Höst not be top of the list?! If you love interior blogs you'll have seen images of this before. But honestly? Höst was completed last year after a collaboration with the fab Norm Architects team (remember this monochrome home last week?!) and Danish designers Menu for Cofoco. And word on the street is that the food is equally sublime.

La casa de Amy Butller/ Amy Butler house

Me encanta conocer  las casas de los diseñadores, suelen ser muy creativas y esta no decepciona en absoluto, pertenece a Amy Butler, una gran diseñadora textil conocida por sus diseños incluyen telas estampadas, accesorios para el hogar, moda y productos artesanales hechos a mano que se venden en todo el mundo.  Me encantan sus muebles de mediados del siglo  combinados con otros hallazgos eclécticos, los techos altos y los grandes ventanales con grandes espacios abiertos y llenos de color, una casa llena de personalidad.
