Esta vivienda cercana  a L'Escala  un precioso pueblo marinero de Girona , cuya construcción original es del siglo XIX, fue rehabilitada por la arquitecta Gloria Durán Torrellas, un proyecto  tolerante con los elementos originales y de una riqueza sorprendente, en especial, por su equilibrado contenido rústico y de diseño a partes casi iguales y por la relajante atmósfera conseguida tras el cambio.

Soft pastels and bold brights in Malmö

It's the weekend - woohoo! Before I dash off I wanted to share this apartment which is currently for sale here in Malmö. It's in Rörsjöstaden which is packed with beautiful buildings from the late 19th /early 20th century. What caught my eye the most is the pretty sitting room, I love the colours in the cushions and the mix of art on the wall. Another interesting thing about this home is how it starts off all white and soft pastels and then suddenly, the home office /creative room takes on an entirely different colour scheme altogether........

Any thoughts on why this happened?! I have some theories....:)

Do you have a running colour theme through out your home or do you switch according to the purpose of the room?

I Am Going To Need Someone To Explain This To Me...

I have been seeing these Pop Phones everywhere.  I have to admit, I just don't understand the draw here.  Retro- check. Plenty of color choices- check.  It should be right up my alley but I feel like I am missing something.  I am thinking maybe it is a comfort thing but I could be wrong.  So, for those of you out there who own and love a Pop Phone please explain...I am all ears.

 This is the second time I have used this tile.  The first was in a herringbone pattern on a floor (picture coming) and now as a backsplash.   I love it.  

The hardware for this space is so pretty.

The pretty Danish home of Tine K

Gooood morning! I often feel Danish interiors have a  distinct style; simple, clean but with the perfect hint of relaxed bohemian. This is the pretty home of Tine K of Tine K Home in Funen, Denmark which she shares with her husband and three children. Built in 1834, the house was photographed by Jenny of Black Balloon shop and blog.  I love the way Tine has decorated her home with rustic wood furniture against the white, soft grey hues and sharp contrasts of black.

I am postively drooling over the rustic dining table and stools! Could you imagine this home all decked out for Christmas?! Hint hint Tine K! :)

I'm having a luxury morning in a cosy café around the corner from my home with my laptop and a latte machiatto. Now that's what work should be like! What are you up to today?

Una casa ecléctica / An eclectic house

Esta casa londinense tiene una huella escandinava, las paredes, suelos, puertas, chimeneas y una gran cantidad de muebles son blancos. Muebles antiguos, tejidos y colores de antaño, cerámica que aporta un toque femenino a este pequeño paraíso británico de dulzura y poesía, un remanso de paz en el corazón de la ciudad.

Target Holiday Accessories in the Bathroom

I'm continuing to add small touches of Christmas decor throughout our home and I have to thank Target for sending some Threshold decor pieces that I added to our master bathroom.  They are a festive addition and super cute.   Below is their red and white plush hand towel and the cable knit soap dispenser and cup.  Adore!

To add more flair, I put fresh cut tree branches and faux red berries into a mercury glass vase tied with a  bright satin red ribbon.  

On my husband's side, we have the Target snowflake hand towel and cable knit tray.  

On top of the cable knit tray is a tiny faux boxwood brightened up with a red bow. 

And in the living room, I'm crazy about these Target quatrefoil candles in red and green.  I've been burning them nightly- so cozy!
